Play 9 - Score 36 Grand Final! (Season 1)
A BIG thank you to all those who joined us for the Play 9 - Score 36 grand final! To end the season, we had 24 participants, 2 of whom joined us for their first event.
Coaches Alan Watt, Aran Sinclair, Chloe Thackeray, Thomas Bell and Mike McNally joined our teams out on the course to provide some helpful coaching and tips.
We had 7 individuals who achieved par 36 or better and will now advance to the next level in season 2.
Shout out to Connor Bathgate who joined us for the first time and won Closest to the Pin at 5ft, as well as shot the Lowest Adult Score with a very impressive 27 (-7 under par).
Big congratulations to Stuart Kirchin & Monty Rigterink for winning the Lowest Junior Score (U18) with a score of 34 (-2) under par and both moving to the next level.
Murray Talbot, Jeremy White, Gregor Mccrum & Connor Bathgate took away the prize for Lowest Team Score with an average of 34.75.
Beat the Pro
Coach Mike McNally had lots of fun on the first tee this event, introducing a Beat the Pro competition. Of the 6 shots Mike hit, he only found the green twice - thats 33% GIR (greens in regulation). Even Pros miss greens!! With ever changing wind conditions, he used 3 different clubs: gap wedge, PW and 9-iron. Two shots came up short, one flew long. Tough test!

Order of Merit
We’ve had a great first season of Play 9 - Score 36! Across all 7 events we’ve reached 75 players who have joined in on the action! Throughout the season, the Order of Merit table has captured individuals progress at each event, following play we headed back to the Templar Room so we could tally up the scores for the final standings.
